The Yukon Quest 2011 will start in Whitehorse again. For everyone interested in that great race,

in meeting the mushers and get an impression of the excitement at the start and the routine at the

checkpoints we offer this exclusive trip. In addition, you will get a chance to do some mushing yourself.

Tour description

Included in the tour:

• "meet the mushers" event on February 02nd (depending on flight arrival)
• transfer to town, town day and Start Banquet on February 03rd
• introduction to sled-dogs and mushing
• well-trained, certified guide and a team of 6-8 friendly huskies
• winter gear (snowpants, parkas, mitts, warm boots)
• full-day mushing trip
• Quest start viewing
• view progress of the teams at Braeburn, Carmacks, Pelly, Dawson City checkpoints
• all accomodation
• fine home-cooked meals while on the Muktuk Ranch
• ground transportation
• at the end of the trip "Taste of Yukon" dinner

 

not included:

• meals during the checkpoint viewings
• admission to the Start Banquet (ca 75$ including fine all-you-can-eat buffet)

Payment and cancellation policy:

Non-refundable reservation fee at time of booking - 20 %

Payment of remainder 45 days before departure of trip

Cancellation 45 -21 days in advance - 50 % refund (less reservation fee)

Cancellation less than 21 days in advance - no refund

In case of cancellation all payments are transferable for up to one year.
