Livingston - 6 years, 63 pounds, 2 Quests
A brother to Stanley, Linvingston is a very reliable leader. He is very athletic and a bit of a jumper – for those of you familiar with previous teams, you may remember Murphy, fondly known as "Hoop Boy" due to his tendency to leap high in the air (4 to 5 feet!). Livingston is taking over where Murphy left off. When he is not jumping, he is proving himself a great leader in tough conditions, notably on ice.

Shilo - 6 years, 53 pounds, 1 Quest
The smallest member of our team, Shilo is a sweet, gentle girl. But she's also a focussed and strong leader. More than once, she has pulled bigger stronger males onto the right trail, and she won't take any nonsense from the boys. While 2004 was her first Quest, she performed like a real professional.

Decaf - 8 years, 73 pounds, 6 Quests
What can we say about Decaf! Strong, steady, reliable, good-natured. Decaf has been a leader in Frank's Quest teams for four years now. He was crucial in his 2000 race, and has been a key part of the team every year since. When he was a puppy, we all thought he would be too big for the Quest, but he has more than proved us wrong. More important, he has the heart of a Quest dog. In the 2005 Copper Basin 300, he was one of Saul's main leaders.

Kirby - 8 years, 63 pounds, 5 Quests
Kirby is a big, strong, long-legged fellow, a littermate to Terror. He's good tempered and a steady worker. And as you can see, he's a very handsome fellow indeed. He was in the second-string of leaders for Saul in the 2005 Copper Basin 300.

Pelly - 7 years, 71 pounds, 3 Quests
This little sweetie really takes after his mum, Tatchun. He's quiet and hardworking, with a very gentle temperament. This will be his fourth Quest. On his first Quest hw was very tired by Dawson, but he kept on eating and drinking and working.

Flint - 4 years, 68 pounds, 2 Ques
Flint was the baby on the team two years ago, and he came through with flying colours. He's gorgeous and so affectionate that everyone who meets him falls in love instantly. He's did extremely well as a rookie, and has really matured as a leader. Now he is a steady member of the team.

Mischief - 4 years, 60 pounds, 1 Quest
Mischief was the baby of the team last year. He is a goofy dog determined to live up to his name. While he is still young, he is already running on lead.

Stanley - 6 years, 63 pounds, 2 Quests
Stanley is relatively new to the Quest trail, but he is turning out to be a fine leader and has shown that he can handle really tough, poorly marked trail conditions.

Schubert - 3 years, 65 pounds, Rookie

Like most of the dogs, Schubert runs on lead. He is becoming a very steady team member with great attitude.

Sponsored by Schuberts

Beethoven - 3 years, 64 pounds, Rookie
Beethoven is Schubert's brother, and also runs on lead. He is a really good trotter with a super attitude. This is the first Quest for both these boys.

Falcon - 2.5 years, 66 pounds, Rookie
Falcon is a really tall young dog, and he has great spirit. He has the best howl in the yard, not to mention a very handsome face. Falcon is Mischief's brother, by the way.

Sprocket - 3 years, 53 pounds, Rookie
Sprocket is a very happy little leader, who just loves getting out there. She had surgery to remove part of her jaw, but the only problematic result has been that she is a slow eater. And she still loves to run!

Sakura - 3 years, 54 pounds, Rookie
Sakura is a great little leader, although still a bit tentative at time. Saul found her to be a great dog in the Copper Basin. She is renowned for jumping over the gangline while waiting to hit the trail -- no one has a vertical leap like Sakura!

Carter - 3 years, 65 pounds, Rookie
Carter is a brother to Beethoven and Schuber. Like them he is a very steady member of the team. He is one of the few dogs who does not run on lead. This is his first Quest.

The B Team

Anna - 6 years, 55 pounds, 1 Quest
Anna is the team alternate for this year. She is a sibling of Herschel, Stanley, Livingston and Shilo, all of whom are running in the team. She is a real sweetheart and has been really coming into her own lately.

Sponsored by Nortons

Albert - 6 years, 74 pounds, 3 Quests
Albert is the favourite of Anne's daughter, Cindy-Anne, and an enthusiastic member of the team. He is such a sweet, good-natured dog that he is a delight to have in any team. And we know where he will be going when he retires!

Sponsored by Mike P.

Kusawa - 8 years, 65 pounds, 2 Quests
Kusawa is a beautiful boy out of Tatchun. Like his mother, he is shy, sweet-tempered and serious. He's also a really steady team dog. He ran as far as Scroggie Creek in his first Quest, then had trouble with splits in his feet and was flown to Dawson. Frank struggled with the decision, since Kusawa probably could have made it into Dawson. But he didn't want to take any chances with his feet.

Herschel - 6 years, 68 pounds, 2 Quests
Herschel is a very photogenic, charming young lad. He has developed into a fine long-distance dog, and emerged as a really fine leader. He seems capable of handling even the most difficult trail conditions. With his colouring, he reminds Frank of Hooligan, one of our great leaders from years past, who went over the rainbow bridge several years ago. Last year, he was injured early in the race and gave us a real scare. But he is looking great on the trails now.

Spencer - 8 years, 65 pounds, 5 Quests
Spencer is the self-selected cheer-leader for the team, eager to go at every stop. He's a long-legged fellow, with a lovely gait and good temperament – a great addition to any team. When every other dog is getting quieter, and more tired, towards the end of the race, Spencer is the one who will be jumping up and barking, eager to get out of a checkpoint.

Terror - 8 years, 65 pounds, 4 Quests
Terror is a super team dog. He's enthusiastic and always willing to get going. He's so enthusiastic that he tends to get collar rub (from leaping to get off his tether and get running). So that's why he's wearing that fashionable fleece neck warmer. He was in the second-string of leaders for Saul in the 2005 Copper Basin 300.

Belle - 4 years, 57 pounds, Rookie
Belle is a very steady leader and a very beautiful girl. For those of you who remember Brandy, you may notice a family resemblance. Belle is one of the Valentines Day puppies from 4 years ago, when Latte and Brandy had a "tryst" in Circle, literally right behind Frank's back...
